Best Birding in Big Sur Tour

Our Best Birding in Big Sur Tour is a three-hour tour focused on the birds found along the Big Sur River in Andrew Molera State Park. Meet at our bird banding lab and walk along the river to the headlands overlooking the ocean. You will search for rare birds while enjoying spectacular views of the river and the Big Sur coast. This area was named an Important Bird Area because of its amazing bird diversity. Over 375 bird species have been recorded inside Andrew Molera State Park, and it is not uncommon to see 50 to 75 species on this tour.
California Condor Viewing Tour
$50/person (2nd and 4th Sunday of every month - must sign up through Salinas office in advance)
This two-hour tour will lead you down the coast to view magnificent and endangered California condors. Our knowledgeable staff will use radio telemetry to track while taking in the beautiful Big Sur coast.
