Big Sur Discovery Center
Come visit the Discovery Center in Big Sur, California located at Andrew Molera State Park. At the Discovery Center, you can see and interact with the exhibit Bringing the Condors Home and learn about condors and the efforts there to recover the birds to the wild as well as see songbirds in the hand while Ventana Wildlife Society biologists operate the bird banding lab.
The Discovery Center is a great place for anyone interested in spending time in beautiful Big Sur, going on breathtaking hikes with views of the mountains and ocean. Bring your family or friends and have a picnic, sign up for tours or interact with on-site biologists and naturalists. During the summer months our Natural Science Discovery Camp for youth 8-12 years old takes place at the Discovery Center as well. For teens, we have a Condor Wilderness Camp. The Discovery Center is open to the public and free of charge.
